Elimination rounds were held today, the first ever in China. Because the event was for rookie teams, the American teams (Teams 525, 987, 1595, and us) did not play. However, we did play three great exhibition matches. Our team was awarded the Inspiration Award, as well as a set of five safety badges. Following this, there was a Q&A session to help the Chinese teams learn new things. We also exchanged contact information with them so that we could assist the teams throughout 2015 and beyond.
Though the robot has been packed up and shipped back to the U.S., we will be holding (along with the other American teams) a series of instructional seminars pertaining to a range of subjects relevant to FRC to better prepare them for their coming year.

Today at the Shenzhen CRC (China Robotics Challenge), StuyPulse went into the competition not only as a competitor but also as assistance, as this is the FRC competition there. As competitors, we invested time in fixing our robot due to damage sustained in travel. We helped out other teams and the event organizers as well. Many teams required help in passing their first inspection, and we also assisted the field setup crew in setting up the FMS connections.
Finally, tomorrow marks the first qualification matches ever held in China. We wish everyone good luck!

This morning, StuyPulse left NYC for China, where we will be staying for a week until August 22, to participate in the first ever Chinese FRC scrimmage. There will be three other American teams attending, including Team 525, Team 987, and Team 1595, along with eighteen Chinese FRC teams.
Once we get there, we’ll be participating in a series of workshops on a variety of topics, including safety, electronics, and scouting. Tomorrow, the competition will start! We’ll keep you posted on further updates.

First, thank you to everybody who came to the Javits Convention Center to cheer for our team in the NYC regional! It was a great time and we appreciate all the support.
StuyPulse reached quarterfinals in the elimination bracket, but did not win the regional. As such, we will not be heading to the world championship in St. Louis this year. However, be on the lookout for future announcement about off-season events!
And finally, congratulations to our incredible drive team, our extremely dedicated team members, our team mentors and teachers, all our families, and every one of our sponsors for seeing us through the 2014 FRC season. Our combined efforts makes our accomplishments possible, and we value the support given throughout the year.
Go StuyPulse!
