Members of StuyPulse had an amazing experience in Washington, D.C. at the inaugural FIRST Global Challenge! They finally met in person the team they mentored, Team Hope, in addition to 162 other teams, representing over 150 countries. After weeks of hard work and preparation, Team Hope built a great robot that performed very well during their matches. Overall, the team members who attended the competition had an unforgettable experience, with highlights including lengthy conversations with other FRC teams from around the world and meeting Dean Kamen.

Hey everyone,
NYS is looking to pass a bill that will give funding to NYS FIRST teams and those looking to start teams, to “help encourage students to study in the fields of STEM.”
It would be great if you could take a minute to read it and support it!

StuyPulse came back from the St. Louis World Championship only a week ago! It was such a great experience for everyone, and we all had a great time and learned so much! We were ranked 30th in the Daly Subdivision with a match record of 5-5-0 and an OPR of 129.12. We were picked as the “backup” bot for Alliance 7, and although we didn’t play, we were glad that we were able to help out in many ways! In addition, we were able to see the Einstein matches and visit other teams’ pits and see what they were doing in their own communities. Furthermore, we filmed some videos for FIRSTThoughts, which will be relaunching very soon! Again, our team wants to thank EVERYONE for helping us out this season — without you, we couldn’t have reached this far!

New York City Regional was a blast! We competed at the Armory on April 7-9th, and had a great time! Rafael ranked 3rd out of 48 teams, and were 2nd alliance captain, with Team 333, MEGALODONS, and Team 4571, Rambots. After many tense matches, we became finalists! We also won the Entrepreneurship Award for our business plan. In addition, our Director of Public Relations, Yedoh Kang, was one of two Dean’s List Finalists, and will be competing at the St. Louis Championship for the Dean’s List Award! This was an amazing regional, and we can’t wait to compete at the World Championship at St. Louis from April 26th to the 30th! We couldn’t have made it this far without the support from our members, friends, coaches, parents, alumni, and sponsors! GO STUYPULSE!
