The 10th Anniversary Robotics Team Reunion BBQ is officially scheduled for the last weekend in June. The BBQ will be in Prospect Park (Brooklyn) on Saturday, June 26. If it rains, we will attempt to hold the BBQ Sunday, June 26, also in Prospect Park. If it manages to rain both days, we'll gather for a party at Stuy on Sunday. More details are on the way, but we hope to see you there!
We just started unpacking from the Championship Event in Atlanta, and are starting to catch up on sleep. We are proud to congratulate President of Engineering Seth Berg on his Dean's List recognition, as well as our friends on Team 341 Miss Daisy for winning the Chairman's Award!

Saturday, May 1
Booksale and demos at the Tribeca Film Festival! We're going to be on the corner of Greenwich and Chambers all day selling books (team members should all come to help out) and will be doing an hour-long demo of our 'bots starting at 10 AM in the BMCC Plaza.
Friday, May 14
10th anniversary gala! From 6-10 PM, we'll be having our traditional potluck dinner, raffle, and a very special party for our tenth year! Students, mentors, and especially alumni are invited to join us in Stuyvesant's cafeteria. Hope to see you there!
StuyPulse Team 694 will be at the FRC Championship Event in Atlanta, Georgia from Thursday, April 15 to Saturday, April 17. More information can be found on the FIRST site. This looks like it's going to be a really exciting event, so we'll be sure to keep you posted as the event continues!
We are honored to have been chosen for the 2010 Northeast Utilities Regional Chairman's award, the most prestigious award offered by FIRST at the regional level! Thanks to strong mentoring outreach, media coverage for science and technology, FIRSTConnects.Us, excellent organization, and much more, we came away from the Hartford competition with much gratitude for this recognition. In addition, our robot had a strong showing, making it up to quarter-finals as our alliance captain. Now, it's really time to start preparing for Atlanta!

We are regional champions for the New York Regional! Much thanks and congratulations to teams 341 (Miss Daisy, Wissahickon High School, Ambler, PA), 2265 (Bronx Science Iron Maidens), and 3204 (Mary Louis Academy) for making the winning alliance along with us. We really couldn't have done it without you all. As winners of the regional, we will be moving on to the Championship event in Atlanta from April 15 - 17... more on this as it gets closer.
Also, we are very proud to be the recipient of the Innovation in Control Award for our excellent programming and electronics. Many thanks to our tireless programmers who worked really hard this year to build an impressive OI and code.
Next up, the Hartford Regional!
Our FTC teams, Stuyvesant Fission and Fusion, have emerged victorious from the New York FTC Championship! Congratulations to FTC Team 479 for winning the Rockwell Collins Innovate award as well as to FTC Team 310 for being a division Finalist in the Empire Division.
Team 694 is proud to be hosting a social event for all FIRST teams attending the NYC Regional! We're going to be at Harlem lanes (2116 7th Avenue and 126 St) tomorrow from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Admission is $20 and covers the cost of 2 hours of unlimited bowling, pizza, soda, and shoe rentals. For more information and RSVP instructions, check out our announcement poster.

Our two FTC teams, Fission and Fusion will be competing at a scrimmage event tomorrow (Saturday). We wish them luck at their first game of the season!
It has been officially announced that due to the impending doom of a blizzard in our area, there will be no school or lab meeting tomorrow. Sorry guys...

The kickoff for the 2010 FRC build season will be on Sunday, January 9th! All members of Stuyvesant Robotics are invited to watch the game announcement, start planning, and enjoy a potluck lunch. Parents, alums, and mentors are invited too! Members who will be attending should sign up for the potluck here.

On Thursday, October 1st, we will be having an interest meeting after 10th period in the Cafeteria! Stop by for information on joining our engineering, marketing, web, animation, or FTC teams. There will not only be robot demos at the meeting but also on the 4th floor throughout the day!
We've just made public the new version of our website! It has many new features, including a more efficient backend, an optimized interface, and easy navigation.
With one of our best robots, we were semifinalists at the two regional competitions, and won the Entrepreneurship Award in Hartford. Now it's time to start preparing for next year!
The NYC Regional is being held this weekend and Team 694 will be busier than ever. The even will be held March 6-8 at the Jacob Javits Center on 34th St. and 8th ave. In addition to competing in the tournament, our team will also be running a: -FIRSTConnects.us kiosk- Help us complete Dean's homework by signing up for FIRSTConnects.us. FIRSTConnects.Us is a database of all people connected with FIRST: its students, mentors, and alumni. Use it to look up a friend from competition, find a mentor in your area, or get the email address of someone on your team. -City Harvest Canned Food Drive- Team 694 and City Harvest presents the NYC Regional Canned Food Drive. Show off your gracious professionalism by helping us support the City Harvest homelessness outreach program. We accept all non perishables such as canned foods, easily preserved foods, and dry goods. Please drop them off near the front of the competition area between 9am and 3pm on Friday and Saturday, and between 9 am and 12pm on Sunday. -Robot Academy: Lectures at Javits- Team 694 presents a 6 part lecture series, created to help teams, veterans and rookies alike, to get the most out of the FIRST program as possible. Classes are open to everyone, so drop by, relax, and learn something new. Looking forward to an amazing weekend!
